RTW – Best Book I Read in July

A letter to Anne (with an “e”) Shirley of Green Gables:

Anne, Anne, Anne,

How you ramble on and on…

Often to the point of irritation.

But you have an amazing imagination and you’re spunky, clever, and independent.

Your grudge against Gilbert cracks me up.  Psst, I know you secretly lo-ove him.  Gah, who wouldn’t?  He’s a strapping lad with a brain to

Anne, you make me love Prince Edward Island and I’ve never even been there.  You make me want to sit and pour my troubles out to Matthew, because he will quietly listen.  And then Marilla will tell me to shut up, which is just as well.

This book and the whole series, well, to quote one of my friends, it makes me nostalgic for a time I never even lived in.

Your kindred spirit and bosom friend,

P.S. I can’t wait to read more about your adventures in Avonlea!

P.P.S. YA Highway hosts RTW every week!
