Contests:

Win at critique of the first 25 pages of your manuscript at iggi and gabi

Win an ARC of Like Mandarin by Kirsten Hubbard from YA Highway – this week’s RTW was about the craziest thing you’ve ever done.  I’ll probably eventually answer this question at some point.

And mosey on over to Kirsten’s blog to win some beautiful bookmarks from El Salvador (I’ve got a shiny bookmark from Chile someone gave me years ago…shiny bookmarks = very cool)

Question o’ the week:

What is edgy YA?  A blog post at QueryTracker answers this.

Tiny Dancer:

I ran across a Tweet (I’m assuming Tweet is capitalized…I’m making it proper as of this moment) from agent Melissa Sarver that she’s looking for YA novels about dancers.  Sadly, I am uncoordinated and lack rhythm, so I can better picture myself writing a book about alligator wrestling than I can about dancing.

Finally:

I want all of these things.

Author: Jennifer Pickrell

I write YA contemporary filled w/ romance, angst & family drama. Things I like: cats, snacks, baseball, green tea, taking pictures of trees & movies so bad, they’re good.
