More encouragement

Because there can never be too much encouragement.  There can, however, be too much hot weather.  Are you listening heat wave?

What to do when you’re feeling low:

Jessica at BookEnds posted a reader question basically asking, “Does it get any better?”  I’m not sure if the writer was a male/female, but for simplicity sake, I’m going to say girl.  The girl was discouraged because she had just gotten her first rejections on a query, and she was really dejected and depressed over it.  The reader comments give some great insight into the whole ups and downs of being a writer.

Or the question writer can just do as punk writer kid suggests and “attack the floor.”

The process:

  1. i think this weather is sucking the creativity/sanity from people!!!…. haven’t been getting much sleep myself, although good progress or no progress any sort of fulfilment comes in waves. sometimes stepping away and clearing the mind helps but that’s also really hard to do when that’s all that’s there! i guess all i can say is be diligent and give yourself credit Jessica!

  2. oh wait, wait an idiot… i assumed Jessica had written that! 🙂 Well, either way…. I’m glad knowing I’m not the only one who hates opening emails…

  3. is the only way to changing that silly icon to make an account here?? the purple-snowflake-thingy is on me around like a cheap suit

  4. Okay…I have changed you to a “mystery man” – not many choices, other than “blank” and the purple snowflake 🙂

  5. haaaha, i think i prefer the snowflake thingy but faceless playmobile dude works too! 🙂
