I recently stumbled across some information about National High Five Day – don’t forget to celebrate this Thursday, April 15 – and I started thinking about drive and determination.
An idea was thrown out by some friends at UVA in 2002 and now NH5D is celebrated each year, on the third Thursday of April. The day was even recently mentioned in an SI.com article about high fives. If you check out the website, definitely watch the documentary on the homepage – some interesting stuff.
Also, while you’re in the viewing mood, check out this video that was produced, directed, and edited by my friend, Patrick. It’s for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “I am Free Enterprise” video contest, and between now and April 16, 2010, there will be a viewing blitz, so check it out often – good luck Past Tense Studio in D.C.!
Follow your dreams this week and don’t forget to visit your local library in honor of National Library Week (April 11-17). Libraries are awesome because what other place lets you go in, pick up something that looks interesting and borrow it for free for several weeks?
If your hand is raised on Thursday, I am going to assume you’re looking for a high five.
